Jai Ganesh Girija Suvan Mangal Mul Sujan।
Kahat Ayodhya Das Tum Dev Abhaya Varadan ॥
Meaning: Glory to Lord Ganesha, the divine son of Goddess Girija, the cause of all auspiciousness and wisdom. Ayodhya Das (the author of these verses) humbly requests that everyone be given the boon of being fearless.

jai girija pati dinadayala। sada karat santan pratipala ॥
bhala chandrama sohat nike kanan। kundal nagaphani ke ॥
Meaning: O glorious Lord, wife of Parvati, you are extremely merciful. You always show kindness to the poor and the pious devotees. Your beautiful form is adorned with the moon on your forehead and snake hood earrings adorn your ears.
anga gaur shira ganga bahaye। mundamala tan chhara lagaye ॥
vastra khala baghambar sohain chhavi। ko dekha naga muni mohain ॥
Meaning: The holy Ganga flows from your locks. Sages and saints are attracted by your magnificent appearance. You have a necklace of skulls around your neck. White ashes adorn your divine form and lion skin garments adorn your body.
maina matu ki havai dulari। vama anga sohat chhavi nyari ॥
kara trishul sohat chhavi bhari karat। sada shatrun chhayakari ॥
TMeaning: O Lord, my lovely daughter Myna on your left enhances your magnificent appearance. O one who wears the lion’s skin, the trident in your hand destroys all enemies.
nandi ganesh sohain tahan kaise। sagar madhya kamal hain jaise ॥
kartik shyam aur ganara-u ya chhavi। ko kahi jata na kauo ॥
Meaning: Lord Shiva along with Nandi and Shri Ganesha appear as beautiful as two lotuses in the middle of the ocean. Poets and philosophers cannot describe the wonderful appearance of Lord Kartikeya and the dark-complexioned Ganas.
devan jabahi jaya pukara। tabahi dukha prabhu apa nivara ॥
kiya upadrav tarak bhari devan sab mili। tumahi juhari ॥ 10
Meaning: Oh Lord, whenever the gods humbly sought your help, you mercifully removed all their problems. When the demon Taraka had enraged the gods and you had destroyed him, you blessed the gods with your generous help.
turata shadanana apa pathayau। lava-ni-mesh mahan mari girayau ॥
apa jalandhara asura sanhara suyash। tumhara vidit sansara ॥
Meaning: O Lord, you sent Shadanana without any delay and thus destroyed the wicked Lava and Nimesh. You also destroyed the demon Jalandhar. Your fame is famous all over the world.
tripurasur sana yudha machayi। sabhi kripakar lina bachayi ॥
kiya tapahin bhagiratha bhari purva। pratigya tasu purari ॥
Meaning: Oh Lord, Purari, you saved all the gods and mankind by defeating and destroying the demon Tripurasura. You blessed your devotee Bhagiratha and he was able to fulfill his vow after rigorous penance.
danin mahan tum sama kou nahin। sevak astuti karat sadahin ॥
veda nam mahima tab gayaee akatha। anandi bhed nahin payee ॥
Meaning: O merciful one, devotees always sing your praises. Even the Vedas are unable to describe your glory. There is no one as generous as you.
pragate udadhi mantan men jvala। jarat sura-sur bhaye vihala ॥
kinha daya tahan kari sahayee। nilakantha tab nam kahayee ॥
Meaning: Lord, when the ocean churned and deadly poison came out, out of your deep compassion for all, you drank the poison and saved the world from destruction. Your throat turned blue, hence you are known as Neelkanth.
pujan ramchandra jab kinha। jiti ke lanka vibhishan dinhi ॥
sahas kamal men ho rahe dhari kinha। pariksha tabahin purari ॥ 20
Meaning: When Lord Rama worshiped you, he became victorious over Ravana, the king of demons. When Lord Rama wished to worship you with a thousand lotus flowers, to test the devotion of Shri Rama, the Divine Mother hid all the flowers at your request.
ek kamal prabhu rakheu joi। kushal-nain pujan chaha soi ॥
kathin bhakti dekhi prabhu shankar। bhaye prasanna diye-ichchhit var ॥
Meaning: Oh Lord, you kept looking at Shri Ram, who wanted to offer his lotus-like eyes to worship you. When you saw such intense devotion, you were pleased and blessed him. You fulfilled his heart’s desire.
jai jai jai anant avinashi। karat kripa sabake ghat vasi ॥
dushta sakal nit mohin satavai। bhramat rahe mohin chain na avai ॥
Meaning: Oh merciful, infinite, immortal, omnipresent Lord, glory to you. Evil thoughts torment me and I keep traveling aimlessly in this material world. I don’t see any relief.
trahi-trahi main nath pukaro। yahi avasar mohi ana ubaro ॥
lai trishul shatrun ko maro। sankat se mohin ana ubaro ॥
Meaning: Oh God! I beg your help and seek your divine blessings at this very moment. Save me and protect me. Destroy my enemies with your trident. Free me from the torture of evil thoughts.
mata pita bhrata sab hoi। sankat men puchhat nahin koi ॥
svami ek hai asha tumhari। ava harahu aba sankat bhari ॥
Meaning: Oh Lord, when I am in distress, neither my parents, brothers, sisters nor loved ones can relieve my suffering. I depend only on you. you are my hope. Remove the cause of this tremendous torment and bless me with your mercy
dhan nirdhan ko deta sadahin। jo koi janche so phal pahin ॥
astuti kehi vidhi karai tumhari। kshamahu nath aba chuka hamari ॥ 30
Meaning: Oh Lord, you bless the oppressed with prosperity and impart knowledge to the ignorant. Lord, because of my limited knowledge, I stopped worshiping you. Please forgive me and shower your blessings on me.
shankar ho sankat ke nishan। vighna vinashan mangal karan ॥
yogi yati muni dhyan lagavan। sharad narad shisha navavain ॥
Meaning: Oh Lord Shankar, you are the destroyer of all sorrows. You remove the cause of all obstacles and grant eternal bliss to Your devotees. Sages and saints meditate on your most beautiful form. Even divine beings like Sharad and Narada bow with reverence towards you.
namo namo jai namah shivaya। sura brahmadik par na paya ॥
jo yah patha karai man lai। tapar hota hai shambhu sahayee ॥
Meaning: O Lord, I prostrations you. Even Brahma is unable to describe that greatness. Whoever reads these verses with faith and devotion receives your infinite blessings.
riniyan jo koi ho adhikari। patha karai so pavan hari ॥
putra-hin ichchha kar koi। nischaya shiva prasad tehin hoi ॥
Meaning: Devotees who chant these verses with deep love become blessed by the grace of Lord Shiva. Childless people who wish to have a child also get their wishes fulfilled by accepting Shiva-Prasad with faith and devotion.
pandit trayodashi ko lavai। dhyan-purvak homa karavai ॥
trayodashi vrat kare hamesha। tan nahin take rahe kalesha ॥
Meaning: On the day of Trayodashi (13th day of Krishna and Shukla Paksha) one should invite a Pandit and offer Prasad to Lord Shiva with devotion. People who observe fast on Trayodashi day and worship Lord Shiva always remain healthy and prosperous.
dhupa dipa naivedya charhavai। anta vasa shivapur men pavai ॥
kahai ayodhya asha tumhari। jani sakal dukha harahu hamari ॥ 40
Meaning: One who offers incense, prasad and performs aarti to Lord Shiva with love and devotion, enjoys material comforts and spiritual bliss in this world and ascends to the abode of Lord Shiva in the hereafter. The poet prays that Lord Shiva removes everyone’s suffering and grants them eternal happiness.
